The Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler Bundle is a direct upgrade for the Audi S4 B9 and S5 F5 3.0 TFSI, replacing the restrictive factory unit with a much larger, more efficient core and complete charge pipe kit. Designed to keep intake temperatures lower under sustained load, it helps the 3.0 TFSI engine maintain consistent power, especially during spirited driving, track use, or when running tuned software.

This bundle version includes the upgraded charge air piping, giving you a full air-side upgrade in one go: cooler, denser air into the engine and stronger, more durable hose connections.

What it does and why it matters

An intercooler cools the compressed air from the turbocharger before it enters the engine. Cooler air is denser, which means more oxygen and a more efficient burn. The factory intercooler on the B9/F5 platform is known to heat soak quickly under hard use, causing the ECU to pull timing and reduce boost to protect the engine. The Wagner core has far greater volume and frontal area, so it stays cooler for longer and recovers temperature faster between pulls.

Charge Pipe Upgrade Included

This bundle adds a black-coated aluminium charge pipe and three reinforced silicone hoses. The factory plastic pipework is a known weak point under increased boost and can split or pop off when pushed. The aluminium pipe and uprated silicone connections give you a stronger, more reliable air path that can handle higher boost pressures from tuning.
