Description
Zircoflex is a revolutionary flexible ceramic heat shield material, offering superb thermal barrier performance at minimal weight and minimal thickness. The material is produced as a thin aluminium backed foil.
Zircoflex heat shield is suitable for temperatures up to 500°C with this triple layer reducing radiated temperatures by 85%. Zircoflex can be stacked on top of each other to greatly improve its thermal barrier. There are a few methods to reliably join multiple sheets together which include; high temp-double sided tape (see part ZF-AT), stainless steel ties (see part EX-SS-TIES), contact adhesive, spot welding, crimping or riveting.
Zircoflex makes an ideal heat shield and can be applied to any area of the vehicle where heat protection is needed. For example; air boxes, underside of bonnets, bulkheads, exhaust tunnels and even inlet manifolds or intercooler piping. This Zircoflex Ceramic Heat Shield (non-self adhesive) is supplied in a 297 x 210mm flat sheet (A4 size).
