The Powerflex Road Series Upper Engine Mount Insert (PFF5-224) is crafted from our Yellow 70A durometer material, striking an excellent balance between strength and compliance. This ensures enhanced performance while limiting the transmission of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) into the cabin. Ideal for petrol models and high-torque tuned diesel models, this insert is designed to fill the void in the original equipment (OE) rubber upper engine mount, restricting unwanted movement.

Over time, the OE rubber engine mount can soften and perish, losing its ability to dampen effectively and allowing for undesirable engine movement. By fitting the PFF5-224 insert, you can expect improved throttle response, sharper gear changes, and reduced wheel hop for better traction. A small increase in NVH, typically at idle, is to be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.

The bush requires no pressing or burning, simply peen the insert into position and refit the mount!
