Milltek Sport Lotus Emira Active Valve Control (SSXLO6)

The Milltek Sport Active Valve Control gives Lotus Emira owners full manual control over the exhaust valve, letting you choose between a quieter cruise or a louder, more characterful tone whenever you want. It is a plug and play system that works with both the original equipment (OE) exhaust and Milltek Sport exhausts, removing the restrictions of the factory drive mode settings.

Normally, the Emira’s exhaust valve only opens based on the selected drive mode and engine RPM. With the SSXLO6 fitted, you can override this behaviour at the press of a button on the supplied remote, so the exhaust note is on your terms rather than the car’s.

What it does

The control module wires directly into the valve motor at the rear of the car and is powered through the original valve cable, so there is no need to splice into other wiring or run separate power feeds. Two remote key fobs are included, giving you wireless control from inside the cabin or while standing near the vehicle.

• Open 100% – holds the valve fully open for the loudest, most aggressive exhaust note at all times
• Closed 100% – keeps the valve shut for the quietest possible drive, ideal for early mornings or residential areas
• OE Mode – returns full control to the car, using the factory drive select modes and RPM ranges

A built in memory function remembers the last mode used, so the car will start up in the same setting you left it in. This is handy if you have a preferred everyday mode and do not want to reset it each time.

Installation notes

The module itself is compact and should be tucked away in a clean, dry location. Milltek recommends the cavity between the heatshield and the number plate holder, which keeps it protected from water, heat and road dirt. Always refer to the supplied install guide for the correct fitting procedure.

Important: Exhaust valves should never be held fully closed under heavy load or sustained high RPM driving. Doing so can cause excessive back pressure and may lead to damage. Use the Closed 100% setting for light throttle, low load driving only, and switch back to Open or OE mode before driving the car hard.
